There's a trend on this wiki. It's something I'm sure a lot of people have noticed. Just look around, and you'll see it every day, several times a day. Someone makes a page. Their creepypasta contains a lot of errors, or it's not really all that scary, or it overuses clichés. Of course, someone's going to call them out on it. That's the nature of the beast. Constructive or not, the internet is as much an engine for manufacturing criticism as it is for pictures of a certain nature that I don't need to explain. So, what happens next? Well, sometimes you see a nice thank you and people asking for more ways they can improve. Keep an eye on those guys! They're keepers.
However, nine times out of ten, you'll get the excuse. Not just an excuse, but The Excuse. Anyone that's been here a while knows the one. Sometimes it may be delivered as an apology. Sometimes it's offended and defensive. It doesn't matter how they say it, though. It's always the same excuse. "It's my first pasta."
I really hate the "this is my first attempt" excuse. Just saying. Now, I'm hardly typical or anything, and I'm certainly not going to say that I'm absolutely brilliant, or that I've never written anything bad. However, I invite anyone who makes excuses about their first attempt being certain to fail to try to figure out which pasta was my first based solely on the quality and how others rated it. I'll be impressed if anyone can do it. I don't think that at the time of writing this, I've ever even gotten a truly bad review (though I fully expect someone to give me one just to prove my position of superiority wrong henceforth).
Oh, and incidentally...I do all my pasta in one draft.
I just want people to think about that next time they start making excuses.
