Sooo yeah...I've been working on and off again on my latest installment of the Anthology of the Macabre and have realized that as the story stands its looking more like a bonafide fanfiction...an erotic fanfiction...
True, I prefer to write erotica than anything else since it's super easy to do when you're a sexual deviant like myself, but when the point of me writing creepy pasta is to broaden my writing range, I feel like I'm taking a big step back. And as of right now I'm not sure if I want to scrap the story entirely or just rethink the whole scenario...
For your information, the next installment was supposed to be based on the pc game/manga/anime Higurashi When They Cry and was going to follow an alternate storyline from the original material. The problem arouse, however, when the protagonist becomes engaged with a character from the source material, and they get into it rather early on. Now on one hand I can just (for the SOG posting of the story) censor the sexual scenes or omit them and provide a link to DeviantArt where I also post my work. On another hand, I'm toying with tying the sex scene into the overall narrative and have it be a crucial point...hmm...
So for the time being, this instalment of the anthology is on hold.
HOWEVER...
A recent bad dream has spurred my imagination, and reminded me that some of the best horror writers based their works on dreams...and this last dream of mine was too Lovecraftian even for a Cthulhu Cultist!
So I'll probably (tonight) get started on getting the dream down on paper (what I can remember) and flesh it out for your enjoyment. Also, working on posting a link to my DA for those of you who have it, so when that's up please feel free to check out my other writings as well as my cartoons and such, I'm a whore for feedback and crave it like a starving Snorlax!
